Leaving Slotlounge and Coming Back: A Guide for Canadian Members

Contents

Opening an account is a form; closing it is a procedure. A member who knows the procedure before depositing meets no surprise later, and a member who may want the account back should know what a closure leaves behind.

The Slotlounge casino Canada overview describes the shared account, catalogue and cashier involved in that decision.

Closing in seven steps

  1. Decide between a break and a closure. A break stops play for a set time and the account remains; a closure ends the account.
  2. Finish or end any active bonus. Bonus funds still under wagering are removed when the account closes.
  3. Request a withdrawal of the balance in the cashier. Verification must be complete, and the payout goes to a method in your name.
  4. Wait for the payout: 24 to 48 hours after approval for wallets and cryptocurrency, 1 to 3 business days for cards and bank transfer. The limit your bank sets on Interac transfers can lengthen the process.
  5. Write to [email protected] from the registered email address and state that the account is to be closed.
  6. Wait for our written confirmation, and treat the account as closed only when you hold it.
  7. Remove saved card details, the home-screen shortcut and the password-manager entry from the devices used for play.

Break, exclusion and closure side by side

BreakA set periodRemains, lockedA pause in play
ExclusionA long period chosen by the memberRemains, lockedA firm decision to stop
ClosureIndefiniteEndedLeaving the casino

A member unsure which measure fits should describe the aim to our support team. We explain the options on the account and apply the one chosen. A break or an exclusion keeps the account and its verification; a closure ends both.

The Slotlounge welcome bonus terms explain the bonus balance and deadlines to consider before closing an account.

Reopening

  • A closed account does not reopen by itself.
  • The member writes from the same registered address and asks for reactivation.
  • We review the request and, where the closure was made for reasons of responsible play, may apply a waiting period.
  • The verification already held is compared with current documents, and an expired document has to be replaced.
  • If a new account seems simpler, the rule of one account per person decides: the closed account is dealt with first, and no duplicate is opened beside it.

When the reason is play itself

A member who closes the account because gambling has become a problem should say so in the request. We treat such a request with priority, and because a quick return would defeat its purpose, we ask for written confirmation before reopening and may apply a waiting period.

The order of events after the request

  1. You send the request from the registered address.
  2. Our support team checks that it comes from the account holder.
  3. We confirm that no withdrawal is pending and no bonus is active, or we state what remains to be done.
  4. We close the account and send written confirmation.
  5. Records the law requires are retained; the rest is deleted or made anonymous when no longer needed.

Papers when the member returns

At reactivation we compare the documents held with the present situation. An expired passport or licence is replaced, a proof of address older than three months is renewed, and the payment method must still be in your name. A changed name or address is documented with an official paper. The closure confirmation speeds the review, so keep it.

Practical limits of a closure

A closure request is processed after the balance has been paid out, so a payout still in transit delays it. Pending Interac or wallet movements should be complete before we confirm in writing, and a closure never cancels a withdrawal already approved. If a payout is waiting on documents, those are sent first.

The Slotlounge payout troubleshooting guide explains document, bonus and payment-method problems that can hold up that balance withdrawal.

A return after a long absence

A member who returns after a long time should expect the same checks as a new member: an identity document that is valid today, a proof of address within three months and a payment method in his or her own name. The balance, if any was left, is still the member’s, and the reactivation request is the only step that has to be taken first.

After reactivation, the Slotlounge web app opens the same account and documents through the browser.

Questions to settle before you ask

A member who is thinking of closing should ask three things first: is a break enough, is every payout complete and are the documents in order for a possible return? If the answers are yes, no and yes, finish the payouts and keep the documents current, and the later request, whichever direction it goes, is quick.

What we cannot do on request

We cannot reopen an account that was closed for reasons of responsible play on the same day, we cannot move a closed account’s history into a new one, and we cannot pay out to a method that is not in the member’s name. Each of these follows from the rules above and is explained in writing when the question arises.
